Interior Painting

Whether it’s a one room, or the whole house, a change of colour can really make things pop. That’s where we come in. Interior house colours have a significant impact on how your family and guests feel. By using our colour consultation prior to painting, you may decide to match with your existing décor, follow current trends or perhaps try a new look that will make your house stand out. At CKS Painting Group, we believe that careful planning is the only way achieve get fantastic results. One of our knowledgeable directors Corey or Karl will carefully evaluate every surfaces integrity and spot any existing damage before work starts. Once we have a plan in place our team of highly skilled painters then begin the repaint process. Each job we undertake follows the same interior painting system to ensure a high level of consistency.

Interior Preparation

Our interior preparation begins with protection. Before we start filling or repair work on the ceilings and walls we always ensure that the floors, whether they be wooden, tiled or carpet, are protected for the duration of the job. We do this via a combination of drop sheets and cardboard floor protection.

Next up is covering any areas that are likely to be impacted from the painting process. We’re talking kitchen cabinets, dining tables, furniture, blinds. We cover all these areas with plastic drop sheets for the duration of the job. Don’t worry though, if you still need to access the fridge or kitchen, we’re more than happy to remove these at the end of each day.

Surface Preparation

Prior to applying paint, preparation of the surface is a must. We do all of this via vacuum sanders by Festool. Ceilings, walls and woodwork are all sanded to restore the surface to a smooth finish ready for the new coats of paint.

Once we have the surfaces at a level we’re happy with we will go through and gap fill any hairlines cracks and plaster fill any larger damaged or cracked areas.

All repaired surfaces then have a primer coat applied before the finishing coats are ready to go on.
